The Switzer design team provided preliminary test fits for various locations in McLean, Virginia before the client selected to remain, expand, and consolidate the office functions at the Pinnacle Drive facility.The project includes two new floors, and the in-place renovation of seven existing floors. The challenge was to provide a cohesive and cost-effective design solution for the new floors as well as the existing floors of various vintages.
This project consolidates 24 business units, their functions and employees into a single location - reducing the overall market footprint in the McLean, Virginia area - while increasing efficiency, inter-departmental synergies, and adding capacity.
The space planning aligns with the the client's Administrative Workplace Design Guidelines, and provides 575 work seats. A palette of materials was developed that responded to the existing conditions, and the Wells Fargo Administrative design guidelines, while creating an exciting new look and feel to the overall facility.
